Volunteers Report to West Ramada in Red Mountain Park.  See below for map

Parking for Volunteers:

Plan to park in the Red Mountain High School parking lot.

Note: The onsite parking lot closes before at 6:30 AM.  If you arrive early and are able to park in the Red Mountain Park Parking lot, you will NOT be able to leave until the 10K race is finished, typically around 10:30 AM.

 

THURSDAY: 

Here is a basic listing of tasks for Thanksgiving Day at the event:

  1. General Set-up (Banners, directional signage, registration signage, Coordination, etc.) T-Shirts/Traffic?

    • Need 10. Typically SERTOMA staff and those who show up early for other assignments

    • Check in time: 6:00 AM. Until at 11:00 AM

  2. Parking Lot Management and Street Crossing at Start Line

    • Need 10.

    • Check in time: 6:00 AM. Until at 9:15 AM

  3. Bib Pick-up and On-Site Sign-up/Registration (Collect money and distribute bibs)

    • 10 Adults/Supervisors

    • 20 Helpers. Typically East Valley Wrestling Club staffs this need with age 14 to 18 youth.

    • Check in time: 6:30 AM. Until at 9:15 AM

  4. T-Shirt Distribution. Will work behind/with the Registration Team & T-Shirt Exchange

    • Need 15.

    • Check in time: 6:30 AM. Until 9:15, with some until 11:00 AM

  5. Aid Stations (Staffed by benefactor agencies–but need some additional supervision)

    • Need two (2) groups of 10.

    • Check in time: 7:00 AM. Leave to assignment approximately 7:15 AM.

    • Stay at post until approximately 10:30 AM

  6. Distribution of Fruit, Water, etc.

    • Need 15.

    • Check in time: 7:00 AM. Until 11:00 AM

  7. Clean up

    • Need 20. (Primary responsibility Troop 451 BSA)

    • Check in time: 8:00 AM. Until 11:30 AM

 

WEDNESDAY 

(The day before the event) Packet Pickup at Red Mountain Soccer Fields Parking Lot at 905 N. Sunvalley Blvd.

  • Registration assist and Payment collection and T-shirt Distribution

    • Need about 7 to 10 at all times through day (more in the afternoon)

    • Time 7:45 AM to 8:00 PM (See separate sign-up sheet)
